Blackhill Quarry
Plans to extend the use of Blackhill Quarry
The application by Aggregate Industries to extend the life of Blackhill was considered at the DMC Chairman's Delegation meeting 21st July, Cllrs Jung and Ranger were
also at the meeting.  We OPPOSED the application.
East Devon have supported their Counscillors in objecting to the application and requesting refusal.  (A copy of the report will be published here once finalised)

The application will now go before Devon County Council - Planning. Devon County Council and Aggrefate Industries have recently agreed to a deferrment until 28th
February (!! A Sunday!!) so it is to be assumed that the hearing will be after that date - once a date is known I will post it here.
I intend to go along to that meeting to OPPOSE the application.

Watch this space for news as it emerges.

Best news picture I have seen for ages - but could have happened
in the centre of Woodbury = devastating for some one or some
HGVs MUST be banned from Woodbury Village as a "least worst
option" - better still
DO NOT allow quarry to continue processing.
Application to Devon County withdrawn on 4th March!! Round 1 to us
This page stays "as is" ready for another application!
